Distributor: Paramount Home Video [Zoetrope Studios] | Original pressing [Very rare; a bit of an easy-to-find Paramount Home Video VHS release, except every time they turn up for sale they usually get pretty expensive most of the time] (both cassettes come in cool 'black flap' packagings, as does the 1981 VHS of The Conversation, which I really hope to get soon) | Tape brand: Memorex (both tapes) | Catalog number: VHS 2306 | Tape print date: 47th week of 1981 (Cassette 1) and 48th week of 1981 (Cassette 2) | Release date: November 1981 | Two-tape release | Duplicated at Bell & Howell/Paramount Pictures Video Services (both tapes)
NOTE #1: Both tapes have the vertical roll problem.
NOTE #2: There is nothing at the end of Cassette 1 or at the beginning of Cassette 2, except Cassette 1 also has the slightly high pitched white screen of death at the end and then 4 minutes of black screen before going to static.
Synopsis:
A U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam is tasked with assassinating a renegade Special Forces Colonel who sees himself as a god.
Opening:
1. Zoetrope Studios logo
2. "Francis Ford Coppola Presents"
3. Start of the film
Closing:
1. Last minute of the end credits
2. Rated R screen
3. Warning screen ("Acid Trip") (Woah! Holy fucking shit! I was not expecting for yet another opposite closing! By all means, this has to be the rarest Paramount Home Video VHS I've ever owned in my collection for now.)
4. White Screen of Death (with slightly high pitched tone) (lasts for 1 minute and 6 seconds) (starts at 7:04)
