Day 2: Snowy Peaks to Cloud Forest | Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu – South America Vlog

Описание: In this video, it's Day 2 of our trek, and we took on the trail from Soraypampa → Salkantay Pass → Chaullay (Collpapampa)—the most demanding stretch of the route.

Starting early at Sky Camp, we ascended from 3,900 m to the Salkantay Pass (4,630 m / 15,190 ft). The climb rewarded us with crystal views of snowy Andean peaks and the iconic Salkantay glacier

After soaking in the vistas, we then descended approximately 22 km (13.7 mi) through dramatic terrain—down from alpine heights into vibrant cloud forest—finally reaching our destination at Chaullay (Collpapampa), also known as the “Mountain Sky View” camp


This was the longest and most epic day of the trek—with massive elevation change and a visual journey from snow to jungle in just a few hours.
