About Caitlin:
A native of Fairbanks, Alaska, Caitlin Warbelow is a fiddler/violinist and entrepreneur who currently makes her home in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of three, Caitlin Warbelow began studying Suzuki violin in Boston; she later went on to earn honors from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts and the National Suzuki Conference. While in high school, Caitlin studied with Juilliard's Prof. Sally Thomas at the Meadowmount School, after which she attended Boston University on a full tuition music scholarship, where she received degrees in classical violin performance and Anthropology. Caitlin Warbelow holds championship titles at the New England Fiddle Contest and the Fleadh Cheoil (All-Ireland Competition).

Caitlin Warbelow became the violinist/fiddler for Riverdance's new production, "Heartbeat of Home", in March 2014. She has also performed and toured with Cherish the Ladies, Mick Moloney, Celtic Fire, and The Mickey Finns, among many others. Known for her skill in a variety of genres, Caitlin performs, records, and teaches extensively in NYC and around the country in traditions as diverse as Irish traditional and rock, country and bluegrass, and Texas swing and contest fiddling. On occasion she even returns to her roots as a classical violinist.

Utilizing an unique, self-developed curriculum blending classical technique and theory with folk music's oral tradition and styles, Caitlin Warbelow teaches students of all ages and abilities out of her NYC studio, at festivals and camps nationwide. Her specialties include teaching absolute beginners, adult amateurs, and children who also study classical music. Caitlin Warbelow is an artistic coordinator and guest artist at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and the Far North Fiddle Festival and is on the faculty at Manhattan's Irish Arts Center.

In 2011, Caitlin Warbelow recorded and produced "Manhattan Island Sessions". A live recording done in three NYC Irish pubs, it features fifteen young traditional musicians, including Isaac Alderson (Riverdance and Comas), Dan Lowery and Alan Murray (The Young Wolftones, Eileen Ivers Band), Kyle Sanna (Nuala Kennedy Trio), Anna Colliton (Comas), Johnny Cuomo, Marta Cook, and Ryan McGiver. In 2012, the CD was nominated for an Independent Music Award.

At the age of 24, Caitlin Warbelow was awarded a masters degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University. At the age of 20, she received double bachelors degrees from Boston University in Violin Performance and Anthropology. When not playing music, Caitlin Warbelow is working on numerous entrepreneurial projects and travels the world looking for cute animals, scrumptious food, and dubious adventures.
