Bossy bride-to-be Emma Jane and Fiancée Matt have been together four and a half years and are finally looking to fly the nest. 23 year-old Matt stays with 22 year-old Emma-Jane’s parents, Simon and Jane, along with little sister Sally. They say opposites attract and for easy going Matt, ultra-organized Emma-Jane is the perfect ying to his yang. Matt also occasionally comes in handy to self-reliant Emma-Jane if she has a dodgy fuse or needs something off a tall shelf.

With these two big kids still living in Emma-Janes childhood bedroom, things can get a bit overcrowded and lacking in privacy. You know it’s time to move when your fiancée’s little sister gets an accidental eyeful of you in the shower… But with plans for a wedding and kids just round the corner (if all goes to plan!), they know it’s time to grow up and stop living off the hotel of mum and dad.

So for one week Matt and Emma-Jane have to break free and try to make it on their own. Given the same amount of money they would have if they really did move out, the couple need to find a flat as well as budgeting for bills, food and a dinner party for their parents. After all this they get to decide whether to move out permanently or return back to the old comforts of home.

Will their vastly different personalities and the looming reality of a wedding (only 775 days away!), is adult life alone enough to push this perfectly polar opposite pair apart? Or do opposites really make the perfect couples and will it be enough for these two to happily move forward into adulthood?
