This week I've been making loads of Oil Cruets and I wanted to explain (to the best of my ability) how they're made! This really applies to any narrow necked form. They can be so tricky - it's such a constant battle with gravity. Lots of collaring, and compressing, and collaring again.. did I mention you collar them a bunch? It feels like gravity wants everything to turn into a wide bowl on a pottery wheel so keeping things narrow can feel like a struggle. But I hope this video can provide a little bit of help.
