I am a big fan of using Podcasts in my teaching and learning and I find it very useful in language learning. It helped me to learn French, Spanish and now Polish.
In this video we will look at Google Podcasts in language learning and I will explain why it is the simplest tool you can find. Google Podcasts is also free and you can start using it in seconds. This video isn't technical but you will learn what Google Podcasts is for and you find out how you can use it. I will tell you how to subscribe, search and download a Podcast.
There are some good techniques on how to search fast and for the right material in seconds. Subscribing to a Podcasts will give you the access to the latest videos of your favourite Channels without searching for it. So it is worth subscribing to the videos that you find very useful for more materials in the future. Remember that you can unsubscribe at any time.
The next tip that I want to share with you is about how you can organise the content that you want to listen to by putting them in a queue. Great way to save the Podcasts that you think it is useful but you haven't got time to listen to at that particular moment.
Other trick that I find very useful for my own study is the way to change the speed of the podcast to make it easier for you to follow especially for language learners. Great for such skills like listening and understanding.
Google Podcasts app can be downloaded on your smart phone and used for your study. There is a great link between your PC and the phone app and your work done on your computer saves on the app so you can for example continue unfinished listening of the Podcast.
Finally, can also download a Podcast onto your mobile so you can listen to it without internet connection for example on the train or plain. This video gives you a great picture of what Google Podcast is and what you can do with it especially helpful in language teaching and learning.
