"Anders" Blume, veteran Counter-Strike commentator, is the star of the 493rd Episode of 'Reflections'. This is part one of three about Anders's career.

Anders capitalised on the early days of CS:GO to establish himself as "The Voice of Counter-Strike" along with commentary partner Semmler, best known for Bloodline Champions and work with the GD Studio. Barring an early industry tussle over EMS One Katowice 2014, the Dane was a main stay of majors and practically any meaningful CS event talent group.

Famed for being the narrator of some of CS's most hype moments ever it would be his "Are you kidding me?" call of Hiko vs. Dignitas at ESL One Cologne 2014 which quickly caught on and would even haunt Anders with some suggesting he overused the line later.

A bold decision to go with the freshly launched ELEAGUE on Turner's TBS, the US's number one basic cable channel at the time, showed he was willing to push the boundaries of the industry, while it did ruffle some feathers elsewhere. Similarly, he would later be involved with my FLASHPOINT project and Denmark's own BLAST.

Through the years Anders has seen his duo with Semmler come to an end, partnered with Moses as the American transtioned fully from being a desk analyst and in more recent years has worked more closely with the likes of HenryG, dinko and now ddk.

Nobody in CS:GO or CS2 history has worked more significant events than Anders and he remains a fan favourite to this day.

In part one, Anders reflects on who he was in the early days, some outrageous anecdotes about meeting me, his time with NiP, Danes being considered chokers, being married and travelling nonstop and the impact his children have had on how he sees esports.
