Originally released in 1962, Moon Beams is the first Bill Evans Trio album with Chuck Israel on bass, following the death of Scott LaFaro. Featuring the tracks “Re: Person I Knew” and “Very Early” the trio of Evans (piano) and Israel (bass) is completed by Paul Motion (drums).

2025 Vinyl Reissue!
A new edition of the album is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with lacquers cut from the original tapes (AAA) by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton Tip-On Jacket.
