Released in September 2025, “Kleptomaniac” explores an intense internal struggle with a consuming presence, capturing the band’s tension between surrender and resistance through a cinematic alt rock sound.

Formed in 2024, Aemia is led by vocalist Kimia “Mia” Ravangar and guitarist Kourosh Zarandooz. The husband-and-wife duo were arrested in Iran for making and performing rock music before being exiled and relocating to Vancouver, Canada, where they rebuilt their creative lives. Their music reflects themes of identity, artistic freedom, and resilience, turning personal experience into a powerful, universal message.
