Описание: The UN and the European Union join efforts to end femicide in Latin America.

Latin America is home to 14 of the 25 countries with the highest rates of femicide in the world.

98% of homicides related to gender are not prosecuted as such and often remain unpunished.

Through the Spotlight Initiative, the aim is to curb uncontrolled violence against women and girls, strengthen institutions and promote gender equality in general.
