The farmers of Punjab headed towards Delhi for their ‘Dilli Chalo’ protest call on 13 February 2024, were stopped at the Haryana-Punjab borders at Shambhu and Khanauri by Haryana Police. As the protesters tried to remove the barricades, spikes and barbed wires installed on roads, the police fired tear gas canisters and used water cannons at them.
