For months now the refugee crisis in Europe has been blamed mostly on the war in Syria - but tonight the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, has told Channel 4 News that, in the last month, 40 per cent of those arriving in Lesbos were from Afghanistan. A total of 135,000 people arrived on the Greek island in October. So why the leap in the number of Afghans - who made up only 20 per cent in September?
