How to Use a Compact Metal Bender from Harbor Freight or Amazon for Manual Bending Steel... Hossfeld

I was working on this Anchor project:    • Build a Columbia River Anchor System | Met...  , and wanted to make a separate video explaining how to use a floor compact metal bender (similar to a Hossfeld bender). I bought mine originally from Harbor Freight (Pittsburgh brand), and I think a lot of people get theirs from that store, but there are also ones available online now on places like Amazon.

In this video, I am showing how to prep the bend in 1/4" stock with an angle grinder, because it is thick and doesn't bend as easily as thinner gauge material. Then I'll demonstrate how to set up the compact bender to make accurate bends repeatedly.

I'll show how to make an approximately 30 degree bend in mild steel, using the 90 degree attachment on the tool.

You can also use this tool to do cold rolled scrolling on 1/8" steel or thinner. I'm not sure how good this tool is for pipe or box tube bending. I'm guessing it would crimp them too much.
