San Diego Bay provides a variety of fishing opportunities for kayak anglers. My favorite location so far has been the Zuniga Jetty at the mouth of the bay. When conditions allow this can be an excellent to target a diversity of species from the kayak such as Calico Bass, Spotted Sand Bass, Barred Sand Bass, Scorpionfish, and California Halibut.
Be sure and plan your trip around the appropriate tides and weather and be aware of boat traffic.
