Our Tomorrow is a youth-led creative insights project putting young Londoners in the driving seat. Not just as participants, but as storytellers, interviewers, filmmakers and evaluators.
After a decade shaped by austerity, the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis, many young people in London face growing gaps in opportunity, skills and wellbeing. Too often, their voices are sought through surveys or short consultations. Our Tomorrow takes a different approach. Instead of asking young people to respond to pre-defined questions, the project created the space, time and trust for them to shape the process, the conversations and the insights themselves.
Young people led interviews, explored the issues that matter most to them, and shaped the final film. In doing so, they didn’t just generate richer and more honest insight; they also built confidence, developed skills in communication, teamwork and creative storytelling, and strengthened their sense of agency.
Our Tomorrow is a snapshot of young Londoners’ experiences today, and a demonstration of what’s possible when young people are trusted to lead.
