The Tiple is a very interesting and amazing sounding instrument. It is basically a 10 string ukulele with 2 strings for low G, 3 strings for the C and E and 2 strings for the high A. It plays just like a ukulele but with a lush swirling from the octaves of the strings. Much like a 12 string guitar. They were popular in the 30's and Martin tiples are still the king however they can be very expensive.
This Regal has been restored and plays beautifully and sounds just a sweet. It was X-braced by Nashville Luthier Tom Smith who did a superb job of restoring the instrument.
For a while Ohana made a 10 string tiple and a case but I believe they were discontinued. If you are a recording musician. It is a must have. Nothing else can make a sound like this and it blends in a track so well. Enjoy
