Living and raising a family remotely has taught us the value of slowing down, of choosing presence over convenience, and of stepping away from the noise of everyday life whenever we can. A bothy trip strips everything back to the essentials: warmth, food, conversation, and time together.

In this video, we share the quieter reality of a family bothy stay — the walk in, the stillness, the challenges, and the calm that comes with spending a night without electricity, running water, or distraction.
