Charles here with Liquid Blue Cabarete and we are back in action with another video.

Today we are talking about sinker "prone foiling / wing foiling" boards. Generally speaking these boards are the ones that completely sink under you and are not "half sinkers" which would be a range of 45-65L +/- those are sort of boards that really want to float back to the top and in reality are less stable than full sinker boards and/or boards that just float above the water like a 90L+.

Sinker boards can vary for rider to rider though roughly anything lower than 44 liters in my opinion (depending on your weight it might be less.... For example I am 175lbs and am on a sinker board of 33L) is a sinker board.

When people see these boards in videos or in person they wonder how the heck can one ride that and or get out of the water (It is not as hard as you think!).

In this video I will talk about this and the answer is... it is possible (I have personally gotten various riders to go from 90L down to a sinker in one jump with basic techniques that make it possible. These riders are now much happier in wing foiling because they feel even more free with less swing weight when riding waves or trying to jump.)

My personal opinion for people who are getting into wingfoil or want to get the most out of it especially for jumping and wave riding should opt to ride the smallest possible board they can in most conditions they get for me this is a 33 +/- range. On this board you will see in the video I use it year round and can get riding in conditions from 10-12 knots +. Do not get me wrong at the lighter wind range- technique and wing size is critical.

Riding small boards will change your wing foiling game as the sensation is totally different then riding a larger board. You will be more nimble and agile in all senses and it is truly a game changer.
