Two mighty USAF Boeing B-52H Stratofortress bombers departed RAF Fairford on their journey back to Barksdale AFB, USA, after successfully taking part in Cobra Warrior 25-2.
Callsign “Scalp 93” made a smooth departure, but “Scalp 94” faced some last-minute drama with an aborted takeoff. After topping up fuel and running final checks, the iconic bomber finally roared into the sky about an hour later — leaving behind the legendary B-52 smoky trail!
