Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Urges Janajati Community to Trust BJP for Inclusive Growth and Security in Upcoming TTAADC Elections |

With the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections fast approaching in early 2026, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched a vigorous campaign today, January 5, 2026, to win back the tribal heartlands. Addressing a major "Joining Programme" at Barmura (Mandai), the Chief Minister welcomed 495 new voters from 181 families into the BJP, signaling a shift in the political landscape of the hills.
Dr. Saha asserted that the tribal community has realized that "politics of deception" practiced by previous regimes and regional parties cannot stand the test of time. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the "HIRA" model (Highways, Internet, Railways, and Airways) is being extended to the remotest tribal hamlets. He noted that for the first time in India’s history, Janajati leaders are being given the highest honors, citing the Padma Shri awards for seven tribal personalities from Tripura and the appointment of the country’s first tribal President.
