On 13 December 2001, The Indian Parliament was attacked by 5 terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Five Delhi Police personnel, a woman Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper, two Parliament staff and a gardener were martyred. The firing lasted for 45 mins.
