Futa became famous across Japan in 2005 for his unique ability to stand upright on two legs. At the time he was just two years old, and his standing pose quickly became a national sensation. For many people in Japan, when they think of a red panda, they immediately think of Futa.
Now Futa is 22 years old, which is said to be over 100 years old in human age. He can no longer stand on two legs, but he still eats well and remains healthy and energetic.
