New pianos are mostly around 52g lower bass, 50g middle and 48g top, with an accuracy of ±2g. We try to emulate that as much as possible. Touch on used pianos varies a lot and is often as much as 20% heavier or lighter, making studying much more difficult.
It's easy to check the weight of your keys by placing coins near the front and depressing the sustain pedal. As you add weight the key should drop (it may need a little tap to overcome inertia.
Before correcting the weight, it's important to lubricate the balance rail pins and holes under the keys with dry lubricant such as Talc, and other places such as hammer hinges (Protek) and rollers (Talc) on lever action grands. This often reduces the weight quite significantly.
