In this DIY repair video we go thru how to replace a leaking GM 2.2L Ecotec engine camshaft cover gasket (aka valve cover gasket) on both the Chevrolet Cobalt or Pontiac G5 GM models. The gasket failing due to age in this location is the cause of oil leakage in this area. The vehicle illustrated is a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS. However, this camshaft cover gasket replacement procedure will be the same for any Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5 in the years this video covers. Also, in addition, the approach and same camshaft cover gasket part number will apply to other GM vehicles with this same 2.2L Ecotec L4 engine:
2006 - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt
2009 - 2012 Chevrolet Malibu
2006 - 2011 Chevrolet HHR
2006 - 2009 Pontiac Solstice
2006 - 2009 Pontiac G6
2007 - 2009 Pontiac G5
2006 - 2007 Saturn Ion
2007 - 2009 Saturn Aura
2007 - 2009 Saturn Vue
2007 - 2009 Saturn Sky
