This is the Fall 2021 LMU Bioethics Lecture.
Two bioethicists and a palliative care physician worked during the pandemic, supporting clinical teams, performing ethics consultations, or practicing medicine. In this conversation, they will reflect on their experiences of the first, second, third, and fourth “waves” of patients suffering the effects of COVID infection. Although the situation evolved, one constant remained: the distress experienced by patients, family members, and hospital workers. Panelists are Thomas V. Cunningham, Felicia Cohn, and Nicole Rae Van Buren.
