"Speed Painting Video"/ Speed drawing Karenji logo using wax paper- Featuring LCD soundsystem

Описание: iApps Pty Ltd - An awesome promo video we made using watercolour, wax, a camera, sketchbook, paintbrush and some open-source sound editing programs. The background music is from LCD Sound systems 'Sound of Silver' album and goes well with the animation. This is no co-incidence, and it took a lot of effort to make sure the brush strokes were 100% in tune with the beat.

The video itself was originally created as a wax paper/speed drawing experiment using watercolours for one of our mobile applications, Karenji - "The best free multi-player iPhone Sudoku app." I thought the intro beat would compliment this particular game, as it is fun, catchy and stays in your head after hearing it. Just like the game also.

Keeping the video to its optimal length was also important, as people generally switch off after 15-20 seconds, so compressing the length from 42 to 21 seconds was a task in itself. I would definitely suggest using iMovie to do this, and audacity to extract the sounds. Both free (for mac users), you'd be surprised at how many helpful free and open source programs exist.
