(November 2019) We decided that the most convenient and practical way to drive around and see Puerto Rico as much as possible was to book a bus tour with Celebrity Summit. We booked the tour in the ship 1 day before our last day. Indeed it was a good decision. We had to pack the night before debarkation and put out our luggage (aside from our carry on) outside our room before going to bed on our last night. On the day of debarkation we only have to worry ourselves + our backpacks, they made sure that our luggage are there when we get to the airport after the tour.
Puerto is nice and would love to come back to explore more. If you have the luxury of time. Fly to Puerto Rico a day or 2 before your cruise starts so you get to see the country more than just a 5-hr bus tour.
