Описание: Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY (DDAWNY) Family Committee of Family Advocates for individuals with Developmental Disabilities organized a Flag Demonstration on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at at Canalside, Buffalo, NY. There are now 980 people living throughout our community with developmental disabilities who are registered with NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) seeking a suitable group home. Since 2008, NYS has stopped all construction of group homes, and have no plans to build more. 980 flags were placed, representing each of the individuals currently waiting for a home.
