Once upon a time, Texaco was an iconic oil company. They existed prior to the current HATRED of all oil companies, because their supposedly "piggish" desire to squeeze every penny out of the consumer's pockets. During the 60's, Texaco felt they had a need to produce goodwill corporate feelings, and one of the ways that they created positive feeling for their company was to sell a high quality toy tanker trucks, at a very low price. During the middle of the 1960's, the company was selling their "goodwill" Texaco tanker truck for $4.98 - A CHEAP PRICE, EVEN DURING THAT ERA.
