Irish (Gaeilge)
Irish, also known as Gaeilge, is a Celtic language native to Ireland. It is one of the Goidelic languages, along with Scottish Gaelic and Manx. Irish has a rich literary tradition dating back to the early medieval period, with the earliest manuscripts written in Ogham script. It is an official language of Ireland and the European Union, and efforts to revitalize the language include mandatory education in schools and a growing presence in media. Irish is spoken predominantly in Gaeltacht regions, though learners and speakers exist across the island and beyond.

Manx (Gaelg)
Manx, or Gaelg, is the Celtic language historically spoken on the Isle of Man. A Goidelic language closely related to Irish and Scottish Gaelic, it experienced a decline in the 19th and 20th centuries, with the last native speaker passing away in 1974. However, it has seen a revival in recent decades, with language programs, schools, and community efforts bringing it back into use. Manx has a distinct vocabulary influenced by Norse and English due to the island's history.
