Usha Pandit is an academic consultant, author, teacher trainer, and champion of gifted education. She has over thirty years of teaching experience across four countries (India, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Indonesia), and has a deep understanding of the educational needs of students from a range of cultures and age groups. Her academic background is in English and Education. She has Master degrees in both from India, and Certifications from UK, and New Zealand.

She has authored the English textbook series ‘Empowering English’ for Grades 1 to 8, a resource book on writing skills and creative writing called ‘Writing with Ease’, a grammar reference book for juniors ‘Grammar with Ease’ and a revolutionary series in English language learning ‘Language with Ease’ for Grades 1 to 7. These publications have been acclaimed by educators and teachers as unique and highly effective. They have been taught in nearly a hundred leading schools in the country. She has, most recently, written a much needed, progressive Pre-Primary series consisting of 8 books each for children in ages 3+, 4+ and 5+.

Usha has been an academic consultant with leading schools viz. Cathedral John Connon School Mumbai, Shishuvan Schools Mumbai, The Heritage Schools Delhi, Nirja Modi Schools Jaipur, where she has helped with curriculum development, teacher training, pedagogy, assessment, and change management. She conducts a number of teacher workshops pan India in teaching English, academic management, pedagogical skills, and special needs.

Usha is one of the few people in India creating awareness of the special needs of highly intelligent children with parents and teachers. She trained in New Zealand and has been a practitioner of education for gifted children for the last fifteen years.

She has partnered with the Tata Memorial Hospital to provide academic inputs and enrich the lives of children undergoing treatment for cancer. It won a prestigious global award at the World Paediatric Conference in Washington.

Usha’s vision is to see educational institutions in India transformed from rote-learning and examination-focused places, into dynamic, skills and outcome-based institutions of learning. Usha uses her strengths in the areas of curriculum development, teacher training, and parent education to bring this philosophy alive in the schools she works with.
