In this video we will discuss various features of coordinates, axes and reference frames and also point out how these are distinct concepts. We will point out how a time dependent coordinate transformation leads to a change of reference frame whereas a transformation involving only spacial coordinates does not. Further we discuss how the linear or non-linear nature of such time-dependent coordinate transformation is connected to the inertial or non-inertial nature of the reference frame. We wrap up by briefly going over the concept of absolute time in context of Galilean relativity.
