The cheapest option for those looking to save money is to take the microbus. Another options is to take a taxi from downtown. This is the most expensive, but the best for those looking to save time.

Teleférico to Valle De Las Ánimas Guide

I chose something in between, but infinitely more enjoyable. I took the teleférico from downtown using two cable lines: the blue and the green.

The ride was breathtaking and enjoyable. Much more than sitting in traffic in a car or bus. Plus, I enjoyed wonderful views of La Paz. The whole trip totaled $.90 and brought me close enough to the trailhead that the remaining distance only cost me around $10 by taxi. But, of course, I could have taken a microbus to save even more.
