This video will combine two days of adventure, June 5th and June 6th of 2024.
June 5th starts out by hanging out at Villa Premiere at the pool and on the beach after a previous late night after our excursion to Rhythms Of The Night. It was nice to just relax without any plans for the day or evening.
We then went into town to our favorite coffee shop and had a bite to eat for brunch. Then back to Villa Premiere to take showers and get ready for an evening on the town. We were surprised with a performance at the pool by a local high school band. We wished there were more guests down there to watch them and cheer them on.
We then headed into town and walked along the Malecón on our way to the Zona Romántica area of Puerto Vallarta for dinner. Our plan was to go to Pancho's Takos because it was recommended to us and once we arrived, we realized it was recommended to everyone else as well. The line was long, it was hot and we were hungry. Right next door was Café de Olla and their reviews were almost just as good as Pancho’s so we headed in.
After a nice meal, we walked back alone the Malecón to check out the sights, sounds, smell of food and snacks being prepared and just some people watching. It is always great to walk along that route to see all the happenings and even better to walk off a big meal. We ended the night by peeking our head in La Bodeguita del Medio Vallarta to watch the band and the dancers and then finally headed back to Villa Premiere for the evening.
June 6th started out with us heading into town once again to make the hike to Hill Of The Cross lookout which promised a 360 degree view of all of Puerto Vallarta. Despite our best efforts, it was once again close to noon when the sun would be at its hottest and beating down on us but we were on a mission to make this happen.
So as we made our way up to our destination, we made a small error and had to backtrack but it wasn’t a big deal. We finally got on the right track and headed up the hill. Make sure you bring water with you as you’re going to wish you had it! The good thing is there’s a cafe at the top and you can buy whatever you need when you get to the top.
This hike is a must do when in Puerto Vallarta and the views are definitely well worth it not to mention it provides some good exercise to whittle away at the food and alcohol consumption while on vacation. On this hike closer to the bottom, we passed a couple of spots where garbage bags were left on the streets and they were ripe! You might hear us make a couple of brief sounds during the beginning and end of the hike as we walked past those spots. No big deal and it is what it is everywhere in the world.
On our way back to Villa Premiere to relax by the pool, we stopped at La Tostaderia which was a restaurant we stopped at the day before and then realized we needed Pesos to pay for our lunch as they do not accept credit cards. We’re so glad we went back the next day and you’re going to love the tostadas…they’re amazing!
After spending the remainder of the day at the pool, we were invited to join two couples we met in the pool at Villa Premiere for dinner at Trio. It was definitely a more upscale experience and we had an amazing meal and a lot of fun. After dinner we walked along the Malecón and ended up at Pancho Villa's, a Karaoke bar where we laughed our butts off watching and listening to each other sing. It was so much fun! And so ended our adventures for that day/evening and we’re grateful for all that we did, the people we met, the food we ate and the good times we shared.
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. We appreciate it more than you know!
Much love,
🥰 J&J 🥰
