Today I make myself a couple of carbide turning chisels for cheap!
I picked up two old Robert Sorby chisel handles nice n cheap!, one drilled to 3/8" and the other 1/2".
I bought two 8" steel rods from eBay to suit the holes in the handles.
The carbide cutters also came from eBay. Conveniently the correct fitting screws were included.
Both chisels cost me under £20.00! All with just basic tools! I hope this inspires others to make their own, as its really not that hard👍
