On December 12, 2025, just after noon, the Arkansas State Police were requested to assist the Little Rock Police Department with an active vehicle pursuit traveling southbound on Interstate 530 near the 3-mile marker. The fleeing vehicle, a Nissan Altima, was reported to be traveling at high speeds as it moved through traffic.

The pursuit continued off the interstate and onto Highway 167 southbound in rural Saline County. Arkansas State Police Trooper Derrick Jacobs positioned behind the fleeing vehicle as it passed multiple intersections and side roads, allowing him to observe the driving behavior firsthand.

As the Altima continued, it weaved between lanes, exceeded posted speed limits, and attempted to evade law enforcement by changing direction and speed.
