Ingredients
Thin poha(beaten rice flakes)-2 cups
Raw peanuts-1/2 cup
Cashew nuts (halved)-1/4 cup
Almonds (sliced)-1/4 cup
Raisins-1/4 cup
Roasted chana dal-1/4 cup
Green chillies (slit in half)-5/6
Curry leaves-15/20
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Hing(asafoetida)-1/4 tsp
Haldii (turmeric) powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Powdered sugar-1 tsp
Oil-3 tbsp
Dry coconut (copra) pieces-8/10(optional)
Procedure
Seive poha 2-3 times to remove any dust or impurities.
Heat a large pan and dry roast poha on low flame for about 10 min till it turns crispy.Remove and keep aside.
Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp oil.
Fry raw peanuts, cashew nuts,almonds, raisins and roasted chana dal in the oil till golden and crispy.
Remove on a plate and keep ready.
Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil.Add mustard seeds and let them splutter well Add hing powder,green chillies and curry leaves and fry till crispy.Then add haldi powder.red chilli powder and saute for a min .Then add roasted poha.fried nuts and chana dal and mix all ingredients well Finally add powdered sugar and mix well.
Tasty and crunchy Roasted Poha Chivda is ready!!
Cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container.
