Fruit butter is a great way to treat lots of different wild fruits, and just like crabapples, wild plums make a fantastic butter. It's super tangy and tart-great with a cheese plate, with roast chicken or venison, made into a sauce, or just spread on buttered toast or English muffins.

Since wild plum puree is lighter and contains more water than apple butter, there's a slightly lower yield. Don't worry though, this stuff packs a punch and a little dab will do ya.
