📹 Welcome to TheoTheChillOtter 📸👁️
Thermal cameras work by detecting infrared radiation, a type of light our eyes can’t see but that every object gives off depending on its temperature. Hotter objects emit more infrared energy, while cooler ones emit less. The camera’s sensor picks up these invisible heat signals and converts them into a visible image, where different colors represent temperature differences. For example, red and yellow often show warmer areas, while blue and purple represent cooler regions.
This technology is used in many fields—from spotting heat leaks in buildings, to helping firefighters see through smoke, to military and wildlife observation. Because they don’t rely on visible light, thermal cameras can “see” in complete darkness, making them extremely useful in environments where normal vision fails. Essentially, they reveal a hidden world of heat patterns that’s always around us, but normally invisible.
