The blow-back design pistols have been around since the early 1900's with designers like Colt, Winchester and Remington. Blow-back design pistols are generally chambered in smaller calibers like: .25ACP, .32ACP, 380ACP, 9x18mm Makarov, and 9x19mm. There are exceptions like the Hi-Point, that are chambered in higher calibers than the 9x19mm. This video includes three blow-back design pistols, the Bulgarian Makarov, Walther PPK/S, and the CZ83. These pistols are extremely accurate due to the fixed barrel design. The barrel attaches to the frame and has no guide rod, like other pistols.
