When You Think You’re Growing Ginger… But End Up with Canna Bulbs and Turmeric?!

Описание: Sometimes gardening surprises us in the funniest ways. I planted what I thought were #ginger rhizomes this spring, carefully labeling each pot, watering diligently, and dreaming of making homemade ginger tea and ginger beer. Fast forward a few months, and little did I know, my “ginger” leaves looked a bit taller and broader than expected. Turns out, I wasn’t growing ginger at all. I was growing canna bulbs and turmeric!
It’s a reminder that nature keeps us humble. Canna bulbs are actually beautiful ornamentals that add tropical flair to your garden, while turmeric has its own amazing health benefits and culinary uses. So, even though my ginger dreams will have to wait, I’m excited to be harvesting turmeric and saving those canna bulbs for some stunning blooms next season.
