In Marvel's "Civil War," Captain America and Iron Man clash in a heated conflict. The tension arises when Iron Man supports government regulation of superheroes, while Captain America opposes being treated as mere tools. The story encompasses various events, including Spider-Man revealing his identity and a massive battle in Iron Man's prison. Ultimately, Captain America's side wins the physical battle, but he realizes the excessive destruction caused is unjustifiable. Despite his valid cause, he acknowledges his wrongdoing in forcing his beliefs on Iron Man through violence. Cap surrenders, ending the war. Iron Man reverts to his former ways, and heroes agree to regulation resembling police officers' roles.
