I travel through border regions of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan across Soviet exclaves nobody talks about. These places are rarely talked about and rarely visited. I explore what life is really like inside these former Soviet exclaves, how people move in and out of them today, and why these places remain one of the most confusing legacies of the USSR.
