Описание: Fr. Thomas Keating gives an introduction to the next several sets of lectures directed at understanding the nature of the human condition. This series of conferences uses a variety of models from contemporary scientific disciplines to add to understandings of the healing initiated by the practice of Centering Prayer.

In this first talk, Fr. Keating outlines the evolutionary model. He gives a brief description of an anthropological theory of developing consciousness, describing the Uroboric, Typhonic, Mythic Membership, Mental Egoic, Intuitive and Unitive stages of development in the human family.
