The United States and South Korea are holding their annual joint military exercise in the Pacific Ocean, amid angry protests from North Korea.

This year's "Foal Eagle" exercise, is the 38th time the event's been held since 1961.

North Korea has denounced each of the past exercises as preparation for an invasion of the North.

Meanwhile, an American aircraft carrier invited media aboard to inspect the ship, as it made its way to join the exercises.
