The Indian Air Force has deployed its lethal air dominance aircraft the Mig-29 Upgrade to the Srinagar Air Base in Jammu and Kashmir. The aircraft is capable of beating back threats from both Pakistan and China.

The Special Forces of the Indian Air Force, known as the Garuds, have also been deployed in the region. To support these lethal assets, India has deployed the Heron Mark Two combat drone in Jammu and Kashmir.

Together, these air assets will also be deployed in Ladakh in a message to China and Pakistan.
