Let's tag along with @slug96 (And you thought Avengers: Infinity War was the greatest mashup of all time) as we check out the eastern portion of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe's Needles Subdivision. Or as the railroad should properly be called, the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe (Yes, I will die on this hill!). We'll catch a 'Geo Car' a Budd built passenger car from the late 1940's / 1950's that has been modified to be used today to measure any defects in the geometry of the railroad track (You wouldn't want to be on Amtrak's Southwest Chief that hits a bad piece of track at 90mph.). The Geo Car is seen being towed down Goffs Hill towards Needles after a quick jaunt from Barstow. After that we'll follow the North Bay Z Train (wait, it's just the BELBAR, a Belen to Barstow manifest train? ) up to the top of the hill at Goffs before catching one last eastbound near Bagdad (California) where one wicked awesome rendition of the AT&SF's mascot, 'Chico' has been memorialized by famed artist 'MaidenRock27' on one of the ruins that still mark the site of an old structure.
In Retrospect, this video probably shouldn't be called "Across the Wide Mojave" since we barely scratched the surface of this desert railroad... But Hey, it's too late now.
Повторяем попытку...
