Police: Five arrested in Braselton gas station murder
Police have made five arrests in connection with a murder outside a Braselton gas station last month.
Investigators told FOX 5 News a 56-year-old Flowery Branch man was shot and killed in the early morning hours on October 29 when a drug deal went awry.
Wednesday, police announced the arrests of the alleged shooter and the owner of the car that was involved. All of the suspects live outside of Braselton.
Investigators tell us they believe Angela Baker lured 56-year-old James Walls to the Circle K to be robbed. Police say Antonio Ward Gee received 2 ounces of marijuana from Walls at the gas station, but refused to pay. The two got into an argument and Gee returned to his friend's Honda Civic and shot Walls once in the chest.
The suspects have been identified as Angela Baker, 28, Paula Agan, 47, Travis Brady, 19, Christopher Carneiro, 31, and Antonio Ward Gee, 19.
Baker is charged with obstruction, tampering with evidence, party to a crime and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Brady is charged with tampering with evidence and theft by receiving.
Carneiro is charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Agan is charged with obstruction and hindering the apprehension of a suspect. Gee faces felony murder charges.
"It's very unusual for us to have this," said Braselton Police Assistant Chief Lou Solis.
This is the first murder near Braselton in about six years, according to police.
