One of the Treasurer’s contemporaries from his time as a staffer is the author and speechwriter, Dennis Glover. Writing in the last 2022 edition of The Monthly, Glover argues ‘This is Jim Chalmers’ moment’, that ‘an understanding of history would prepare our economic leaders to lay the groundwork for the future’, and this Treasurer might be equipped for that.
