Shadow was hot with the fish deliveries! This video covers four out of the eight fish deliveries! Shadow delivers three fish and Jackie one fish in 48 minutes and both Sandy & Luna got their own fish and they ate well. After Shadow's third fish delivery, Jackie flew into the nest right after him with own fish. We had a special family time with Jackie, Shadow, Sandy & Luna all together again on the nest. Jackie still wants to feed her eaglets even though they are capable of self feeding ♥ Perhaps Jackie & Shadow instinctively know that their time together is growing short with Sandy & Luna's upcoming fledging.

We hope to see them together as a family unit again before Sandy & Luna disperse the area. Bald eagles generally follow & feed their juveniles for about 1-2 months after they fledge (leave the nest) typically until the young are 4 - 6 months old. While they may fledge around 4 months, they remain dependent on parents within their territory to learn hunting skills before leaving on their own. Thank you for watching!
